HISTORIC AREA ANALYSIS AND CHARACTERISATION

London Borough of Enfield

  • We prepared a suite of character appraisals and management proposals for Enfield’s conservation areas (2005/6). We prepared a Borough-wide characterisation study.
  • We prepared character appraisals and management proposals supporting the designation of 5 new conservation areas early in 2008/9, based on the characterisation study.
  • We are currently (2014) reviewing and updating the 2006 and 2008/9 character appraisals and management proposals.

Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames

  • We prepared a detailed analysis and character appraisal of the Park Road Conservation Area, followed by management proposals (2012).
  • We prepared a character analysis of the undesignated Norbiton Village area (2013).

London Borough of Havering

  • We completed a suite of character appraisals and related management proposals for Havering’s nine conservation areas.

Elmbridge Borough Council

  • We undertook a community-led character appraisal of the Esher Conservation Area, with related management proposals, as part of the second stage of the Council’s ‘Community Heritage Initiative Project’ (CHIP).
